The SOCOM profile barrel is an original Gov. profile barrel (pre M4 profile).  It does not have the M4 cut in the barrel and is a more consistent medium-taper profile while also not being the heavier HBAR (heavy barrel) profile.  It is also a Mid-Length gas system so the weapon's action is more reliable than a carbine-length gas system.

The SAA AR-15 upper receiver offers unparalleled quality & accuracy with its enhanced features that come standard. These upper receivers are built to mil-spec & are ready to mount to any mil-spec AR-15 lower receiver. SAA takes pride in the precision craftsmanship & quality components that complete these upper receivers. Fully assembled, confirmed head spacing and test fired.
